Gentle, pain-free Fascial Counterstrain in Lynchburg and Afton, Virginia.
About Me
I spent my twenties in the desert and high country of the West, climbing desert towers, boating the Colorado through the Grand Canyon, skiing, backpacking, and playing in aerial silks and on slacklines. The outdoors taught me to listen, to trust my body, and to feel deeply connected to the earth. It also showed me how good life feels when the body is free to move.
That belief is the heart of my work. Healing is what allows us to live big, fully expressed lives, and I became a practitioner to help people get back to that.
I studied massage therapy in Fort Collins, Colorado, graduating in 2023, and began practicing Fascial Counterstrain right away. In 2025, I moved to Virginia to be mentored in the technique. I've continued my training through the Jones Institute, and I'm completing my Fascial Counterstrain certification in December 2026.
I find the anatomy that connects, piece together the puzzle of your pain, and treat it. If you're curious whether this could help you, I'd love to hear what's going on. Reach out anytime.

What Is Fascial Counterstrain?
Fascial Counterstrain is a neurological approach to finding and releasing your body's primary sources of inflammation.
Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps and connects every structure in your body: muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, organs, and more. When fascia holds on to inflammation, your nervous system keeps sounding an alarm. Over time, that can show up as chronic pain, stiffness, fatigue, or symptoms that seem to have no clear cause.
How it works
Using a specialized diagnostic sequence, I identify which system your fascia is holding inflammation in. That might be lymphatics, veins, arteries, nerves, dura, bone, cartilage, ligaments, muscle, or viscera. Your body is wiser than either of us, and this sequence guides me to what it wants treated and in what order. That way we get to the root, not just the symptom.
What the treatment feels like
The release is gentle and completely pain-free. I slacken the tissue (counter the strain) so inflammation can drain. Your nervous system no longer has to keep alerting your body, and you can shift out of fight-or-flight and into ease.
Why it matters
Inflammation is the first step in nearly every injury and disease process. By draining it from the affected areas, we can create change throughout the whole system. The sooner you come in, the less long-term strain on your body.
